Inland Veseel Crew Certification Programme

Applications are invited for a skill development programme titled “Inland Vessel Crew Certification Programme” offered by School of Tourism Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. This programme is offered with a duration of 100 hours (80 Hours theory and 20 Hours practical) in inland water vessels. with classes and training on Saturday and Sundays.

The programme is ideal for freshers who like to establish a career in the inland vessel sector. This programme is also ideal for existing Engine drivers, Masters, Lascars, Serang, and other floating staffs who like to receive a formal training certification. The practical competency training will be held in house boats and motor boats.

This job-oriented course equips you with the knowledge and technical skills such as;

• Inland water and backwater tourism
• Safety and security in boat operations
• Passenger boat operations
• Kerala Inland vessel rules
• Competency practical training
